Code.org has released two new AI units: Foundations of Generative AI and Customizing Language Models!
While I haven’t had a chance to explore them in depth yet, they look like a great introduction to Generative AI, covering both foundational concepts and hands-on application.
These units seem best suited for middle school and possibly early high school (grades 6 - 10). I appreciate that they align with AI4K12 and CSTA and, like all Code.org units, are highly user-friendly for educators of any background! One thing to keep in mind is that these lessons work best in classrooms where each student (or student pair) has access to a device, which may be a limitation in some settings.
If you're interested in trying them out in your classroom and have any questions, feel free to reach out!
